About This Event

Reclaiming Culture, Identity & Belonging

Part of Marookha's Faith Series — a monthly gathering where women explore topics that deepen understanding, build community, and spark honest dialogue.

In August — a month of independence and reflection — we gather to explore the quiet yet profound ways colonialism has shaped how we think, speak, and see ourselves.

This is a guided discussion session to explore the topic of decolonisation of the mind. In partnership with Islam & Liberty Network, we'll unpack questions about culture, identity, and what it means to truly belong.

Two short readings are required before the session to ground our conversation. This isn't a lecture — it's a morning of honest dialogue where every perspective is welcome.
